The program

• Text you copy is saved in a file in your user folder on your own computer.
• The program makes no network requests. It sends no usage data, crash reports or clipboard content to us or anyone else.
• You can pause saving, delete clips, or delete the data folder at any time (see Help).

The history file is stored at %APPDATA%\clipkeep on Windows and ~/Library/Application Support/clipkeep on macOS. Because it never leaves your computer, we have no access to it – we cannot read it, restore it or delete it for you.

What we never collect

• No clipboard contents – they never leave your computer.
• No usage statistics or analytics from the program.
• No crash reports.
• No names, email addresses or accounts – the program has no sign-up.
• No advertising identifiers or tracking cookies on this website.

The website

This website uses no analytics or advertising scripts and sets no tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Support emails

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer your request, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that purpose.

How long data is kept

Clipboard history: until you delete it. It is stored only on your computer, and deleting the data folder erases it completely.

Support emails: kept while we handle your request and deleted when they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Hosting logs: technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and delivery, for a limited time.

Legal basis

When you email us, we process your address and message to respond to your request. Technical logs from the hosting provider are processed to keep the website secure and available. That is all – no marketing, no profiling and no sale of data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you by emailing support@tryclipkeep.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new “last updated” date. The program itself still makes no network requests, so it cannot start sending data without a new version that you choose to download – and such a change would be stated clearly here first.
